ABTTF met Egemen Bağış, Chief Negotiator and EU Minister of the Republic of Turkey

Federation of Western Thrace Turks in Europe (ABTTF) President Halit Habipoğlu was on a working visit to Brussels on 5 November 2013. The mission included among others also a meeting with Egemen Bağış, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator of the Republic of Turkey.

During his mission to Brussels upon the opening of 22. chapter on regional policy and coordination of structural instruments for Turkey’s accession to the EU, Minister of EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator of the Republic of Turkey, Egemen Bağış has received ABTTF President Halit Habipoğlu, as well. On this occasion, ABTTF President Habipoğlu uttered gratitute to the Minister for his responsive approach to the problems of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority. In follow up with Minister’s recent visit to Western Thrace, in October 2013, ABTTF President Habipoğlu informed on latest developments regarding the problems of the Minority and the activities pursued on international arena by ABTTF for the sake of contributing to the settlement of ongoing problems.
