FUEN expands its secretariat

The Federal Union of European Nationalities (FUEN) expands its secretariat in Flensburg and increases its staff with two employees.

Alongside Frank Nickelsen, from now on also Jan Diedrichsen, German from Denmark, and Susann Schenk, Lusatian Sorb, will be working for FUEN.

“The scope of activity of FUEN enlarged enormously in the last years and as a result the demands for a professional secretariat increase as well. We are very glad that we succeeded in engaging Susann Schenk and Jan Diedrichsen for institutional collaboration within FUEN, two actors who already have been working with success for us in the framework of the Brussels project”, according to FUEN-president Hans Heinrich Hansen explaining the new structure.

Jan Diedrichsen undertakes as director the leadership and will continue to be responsible for political lobbying of FUEN.

The daily direction of the FUEN secretariat in Flensburg and strategic planning will be in the hands of Susann Schenk.

Frank Nickelsen will complete the team with his long-term experience in FUEN and he will work in the field of administrative work and in the IT-sector.

Jan is a journalist by profession and also leads the secretariat of the German minority at the government and parliament in Denmark/Copenhagen. Susann Schenk holds a Master in Communications and is active as secretary-general of the Youth of European Nationalities now.
